The situation seemed bleak early morning on 7th May. A styrene storage tank had leaked in the eastern port city of Vizag. The reason being, auto-polymerisation of styrene.
The challenge was to deliver sufficient quantities of PTBC to the customer during a strict COVID related lockdown. Thanks to various agencies and state governments, the required PTBC was delivered to the customer in less than 24 hours, using a specially chartered coast guard aeroplane.
