K.K. Poonja & Sons has strong research capabilities, having sold technology to a Mexican firm way back in 1989. Recently, we have developed a lab process for an inorganic salt with medical use for a company in Singapore.

Pilot Plant / R&D Facility

We have a fully established research program with focus on developing a proprietary redox process, “Kemeox”. The Kemeox process allows for effluent free oxidation with superior yield and quality.

Our facilities include:

  • Electrochemical flow cells of various capacities
  • Pulsated Glass extraction column
  • Glass reactor, 72 litre capacity
  • Rotary evaporator, 20 litres (imported) and 1 litre (Indian)
  • Glass autoclave 2 litres

And many other balancing equipments.

Analytical

We have a fully equipped analytical with all the testing equipments required to test our products as per ASTM standards. Our equipment includes

  • Perkim Elemer Gas Chromatographs (2 Nos)
  • UV/Colour Gardner
  • KF titrator
  • Cannon Fenske viscometer tube with bath
  • Various balancing equipment

Our equipment is calibrated regularly as per well-defined protocols.

K.K. Poonja & Sons is a pioneer in the manufacturing of p-tert butyl catechol (PTBC) globally. Mr Jaymal Khatau acquired the technology from NCL (a research institute based in India) in 1972 to manufacture PTBC.
